Hungary Cannot Afford to Lose A Single Health Worker! Fidesz Must Postpone New Legal Relationship Entering into Force!

Hungary Cannot Afford to Lose A Single Health Worker! Fidesz Must Postpone New Legal Relationship Entering into Force!
The health service legal relationship will take effect on 1 March; however, many have still not received their new employment contract, so they do not even know what they are expected to sign. Moreover, the government has not been able to clarify the conditions to date, the details are incomplete and they can easily be misinterpreted.

During a pandemic, the Fidesz regime cannot risk letting even a single health worker leave the state system or the field by forcing a legal relationship on them created without professional consultations! This will have serious consequences that can be measured in human lives.

The concern is not unfounded, as according to the Independent Health Trade Union, 20% of health professionals would turn their backs on Hungarian healthcare. Even the 133 ‘brave men’ of Fidesz cannot take such a risk!

According to MSZP, any new legal relationship can only enter into force after consultations with the profession! That is why we are calling on Fidesz to postpone the new regulation’s entry into force in March and start meaningful negotiations with professional organizations. There is a need for detailed and clear regulation, which sufficient time given for those concerned to adopt it!
