International Homeless Animals’ Day

International Homeless Animals’ Day
The increasing number of cases of animal torture cases calls for a change in the government's anti-animal protection practices.
In recent years, Fidesz has consistently voted down our bills, which would have allowed for the imprisonment of animal killers, but there has been no development of the animal protection institutional system either.
We would like to reiterate on the world day of stray animals: an amendment to the law that achieves the imprisonment of animal killers and the introduction of political practice that is sensitive to animal welfare considerations must not be delayed.
During the municipal elections, we commit to the establishment of an animal protection ombudsman’s office in the capital and support NGO programs promoting responsible animal keeping practices.
