This is a basic principle, especially for a government that claims to be Christian, but unfortunately it is not the case with the Orbán-government. On the contrary, they cover the aggression, block joint European action and engage in an arms trade with Turkey, which wants to carry out population transfers across its borders in Syria. This, over and over again, isolates Hungary both within the European Union and within NATO.
We are convinced that the reason behind this decision is the stuffing of pockets and the business profits of Fidesz’ oligarchs and their foreign friends.
Therefore, MSZP has urged the Orbán-government in Parliament to immediately put an end to the procurement of military equipment in Turkey until Turkey responds to the call of the international community with not only for a ceasefire agreement but also the complete cessation of Turkish military expansion and the withdrawal of their forces from Syria. In addition, the government should ensure transparency in military procurements.
